Can I put things in my automobile?
The way it works is that trucking companies that only use giant, 10-car carriers aren’t licensed to ship household goods because there’s no place to put it! The difference, however, is the enclosed ship service that many companies offer. If you’re looking to ship some boxes along with your automobile, companies that use enclosed trailers and trucks are licensed to do that. But don’t pack your automobile full of boxes if it’s going onto a giant, open truck, because that’s illegal.
The gray area is the trunk. Most automobile ship companies allow you to have up to 100 pounds in the trunk only. This means blankets, pillows, maybe some clothes...loose stuff. By putting miscellaneous junk in your trunk, so to speak, you’re not transporting “household goods” but rather just some “stuff” that happens to be in your trunk. This can change, however, if you decide you’d like your stereo to stay in the trunk, because this can be seen as household goods. So no electronics at all in the automobile, and you can never have anything in the cab. Loose change and some candy wrappers are okay, but nothing big.

Automobile Carrier Quote

An automobile carrier quote is a quote that a customer receives from an automobile carrier or an automobile carrier company. These are actually fairly rare in the automobile ship industry as most quotes are given by automobile ship brokers and not carriers. Carriers will give their shippment prices to the ship broker, or ask for more money if it is a difficult or long route, but most customers don’t normally talk about money with automobile carriers. There are rare instances where automobile carriers give their own quotes to customers; this often happens when a customer comes across an automobile carrier company on the internet. Many times, automobile carrier quotes are higher than one for the same route from an automobile ship ship brokerage, mainly because the truck driver is interested in getting as much money as he can; this is why automobile ship brokerages are used much more frequently, because it keeps the prices low.

Automobile Carrier Rate

automobile carrier rates are simply the costs that carriers charge for shipping automobiles from one location to the next. The automobile ship industry, as well as any automobile carrier rate, is based almost solely on routes; truck drivers have many expenses to pay, so they charge customers or ship brokerages based on their expenses they accrue during the ship on a given route. Fuel is usually the most expensive expense that an automobile carrier will have during transit, so they price their routes based on how far they are. Typically, shorter routes cost less money, as well as any routes to or from big cities. This is because there are many more customers in big cities, which means more loads for drivers; this, in turn, causes the automobile carrier rate to go down because they don’t have to go so far to find their next load. Likewise, rates are cheaper between cities that have a short distance between them because the travel time and the expenses are much lower.

Automobile shipper Company

An automobile shipper company can refer to either a ship brokerage or an automobile carrier. The main difference is that a ship brokerage actually sets up the ship, but does not actually ship the automobile; they find a carrier, a type of automobile shipper, to actually ship the automobile for you. Most carriers are owner-operators, which means that the driver owns his own truck and operates it himself. These are different automobile shippers than fleets – fleets are large automobile shipper companies that hire drivers that work for them, as opposed to drivers who own their own automobiles.

Automobile ship broker Company

An automobile ship broker company is a company that specializes in automobile ship; specifically, setting up ship for customers who want to ship their automobiles. Automobile ship broker companies deal with the automobile carriers so customers don’t have to; they facilitate the shipping process by providing all the shipping information to the carriers and organizing the ship. Automobile ship broker companies dispatch the automobiles to carriers in the vehicles’ area and make sure that the carrier actually delivers the automobile. An automobile ship broker company usually charges a percentage of the total ship price as their commission – they need to make money too! However, they also make sure that the carrier gets paid if the customer pre-paid for their shippment; otherwise, most shipments that automobile ship broker companies oversee are paid via cash on delivery.

Automobile shipper Company

An automobile shipper company is a company that specializes in the ship of automobiles. They are not ship brokers, however; they are fleet operators with their own dispatch departments who find automobiles for their drivers to pickup and deliver. Automobile shipper companies are not as common as owner-operators but they are out there; some even advertise their services to customers and bypass ship brokerages completely, which can be beneficial or detrimental depending on their service. Most automobile shipper companies go through ship brokerages to get freight because it is dependable and freight is readily available; those that do not, however, are oftentimes required to raise prices because freight is harder to find.

Automobile shipper Service

automobile shipper service is what an automobile shipper actually does and the service they provide. There are two types of automobile shippers, ship brokers and carriers. Ship brokers are the ones that will arrange your ship, give you an automobile shipping quote, and coordinate your ship with the carrier. Automobile shipper ship brokerages take a small deposit prior to ship (that’s how they stay in business), while the actual automobile shipper, or carrier, will be the one to ship your automobile from the pickup location to the delivery location. If you have any questions about your automobile ship, be sure to ask the company that is shipping your automobile.

Automobile shipper Company

An automobile shipper company can mean either an automobile shipping ship brokerage or an automobile shipping carrier. A ship broker, or ship brokerage, is a type of automobile shipper company that specializes in arranging ship for customers. They give quotes based on the prices that carriers (another type of automobile shipper company) are currently charging, but they handle most all the paperwork and keep things in line. A carrier is an automobile shipper company that actually transports automobiles from one location to the other. These are easier to find, but most utilize ship brokerages to find loads to ship.

Automobile Carrier Company

An automobile carrier company is a company that has their own automobile carriers and, usually, an entire fleet of them. Whereas automobile ship brokers setup the automobile shippment between the automobile carrier company and the customer, the carrier is the one that actually does the shipping of a automobile. Automobile carrier companies are often one or two man operations; simply a person with an automobile ship truck looking to make a living. There are also automobile carrier companies that own many trucks and dispatch out of a central office. These are relatively rare, but they do exist, and their automobile carriers can be found across the United States. When an automobile ship broker sets up ship for a customer, they’ll call the automobile carrier company and find out if there is a truck in the area.

Automobile shipper Quote

An automobile shipper quote is a quote given to a customer by an automobile shipping company. Typically these quotes are given by automobile ship ship brokerages, which are companies that setup ship between customers and carriers. Quotes can be given by ship brokerages, which are the most common types of automobile shippers; however, some customers go beyond and can get quotes from different carriers that they find online. An automobile shipper quote can vary widely depending on the type of automobile shipper (carrier or ship broker); ship brokers keep prices low, while carriers tend to have higher prices because they are reliant on the loads they ship for income.

Automobile shipper

An automobile shipper can refer to one of two different services: either a ship broker or a carrier. Technically, an automobile shipper would be a carrier, because they actually ship your automobile; however, most carriers utilize ship brokerages to find automobiles to ship, because ship brokerages number in the thousands and the vast majority of customers looking to ship their automobiles use ship brokerages. Automobile shippers specialize in shipping automobiles, however, so if you contract with a ship brokerage you’ll still be using a carrier no matter what.

Automobile Carrier

An automobile carrier is the actual truck driver; they’re the ones that will be actually shipping a automobile. Automobile carriers are different from automobile ship brokers or automobile ship broker companies because they don’t arrange the shipping, they actually ship the automobile. Typically automobile carriers ship automobiles on open, ten automobile automobile carriers – the very same that carry new automobiles to dealerships. Automobile carriers use automobile ship brokers mainly for ease of scheduling – most pickups are scheduled days in advance, and automobile carriers often have full loads to ship around the country. Automobile carriers also make sure that the automobiles are fully insured – most automobile carriers carry $750,000 worth of insurance as mandated by the federal government, but some like to go above and beyond and insure their trucks for upwards of $1 million. This ensures that even incredibly expensive automobiles will be covered by their insurance. If you have any questions about your automobile carrier, talk to your representative at your automobile ship ship brokerage.

Automobile shipper Quote

An automobile shipper quote is exactly what it sounds like – a quote from an automobile shipper company. Most automobile shipper quotes actually come from the drivers themselves, who are contacted to pickup and deliver automobiles for ship brokerages. Automobile shipper quotes are mostly given to ship brokerages themselves as opposed to customers, and many automobile shipper quotes to customers are higher than they are to ship brokerages because they are given by companies who typically don’t get freight from ship brokers. This makes it more difficult to get freight to ship, and as such the prices tend to increase for companies who don’t take loads from ship brokers.
