Can I ship my automobile if it’s not running?
Most, if not all automobile shipping companies will ship your automobile if it’s not running. Usually they will charge a fee for this, as the truck must then wench it onto the truck instead of driving it (which takes time). Make sure that you let the automobile shipping company know if your automobile is DNR (does not run, not do not resiscitate) so they can make the necessary changes to your information as well as let the trucking company know. It is also important to let the automobile shipping company know if it does not roll, brake, or steer. This is just to let them and the trucking company know if they need to make any special arraignments.

Trucking Companies Vs Auto Transport Brokers
I have been seeing a lot of emphatic comments on the internet lately, relating to this subject. I am an auto transport broker and I cringe whenever I see "don't ever use a broker! " plastered all over some carrier's (/broker's) website. I can see the appeal of wanting to bypass the broker fee by contacting the carrier directly. For a lot of people the bottom line is all that matters. I realize that economic times are tough and most of the people I speak with daily are interested in getting the best price possible. I would like to point out a few things to the customer looking to deal directly with the drivers as opposed to paying a freight broker. read article...
